Project summary

An ordering site and custom dashboard for artisan macarons — from WhatsApp to a centralised system with order tracking, confirmation and flavour demand insights.

From a sales channel to an order system

WhatsApp worked while order volume remained readable inside conversations. As volume grew, contact details, flavour choices, confirmation and preparation status were spread across separate messages.

The need was not just a new website. Customers needed a simple journey and the team needed one shared view of the order from selection through preparation.

The operational problem

Macaroness sold their macarons mainly through WhatsApp. As orders grew, tracking became difficult: customer information was scattered, confirmation was manual and there was no visibility on which flavours were most in demand.

What was delivered

  1. 01

Built a structured ordering site: flavour catalogue, selection, cart and end-to-end online checkout flow.

  2. 02

Custom dashboard for the team: order tracking, confirmation, preparation status and customer history.

  3. 03

Centralised order data to identify best-selling flavours and plan production more accurately.

Observed outcomes

Orders

55% increase in orders through a smoother, more accessible purchasing journey.

Organisation

Clearer operations: customer information centralised, confirmation and tracking in a few clicks.

Visibility

Flavour demand data to better anticipate and plan production.

How to interpret the 55% figure

The figure summarises the order change reported for this project after the new journey went live. It does not establish technology as the only cause and is not a promise of results for another business.

What this project shows

A better purchase journey and better internal organisation need to be designed together. Accelerating acquisition without clarifying fulfilment can simply move the bottleneck into operations.

Order data becomes useful when products and statuses are structured. The team can then identify demand, plan production and improve the offer using evidence rather than impressions.

Centralise orders before automating them

The ordering site and dashboard created one data source for confirmation, preparation and demand analysis. That is the same operating principle as an e-commerce CRM designed for Moroccan workflows.
